You will not get Medi-Cal if you move out of California. You may apply for Medicaid in the state you move to. If you are moving to a new county in California, you also need to tell the county you live in or the county you are moving to. This is to make sure you keep getting Medi-Cal benefits.
Can I transfer my Medi-Cal to another state?
Can Medicaid Benefits be Transferred from State-to-State? Formally, one cannot transfer Medicaid from state to state but with careful planning one can gain eligibility in their new state without a lapse in benefits.
Can I use California Medical out of state?

Does Medi-Cal cover out of country?
